Viva Journey of Diamonds & Cathedrals
The cruise begins in Düsseldorf, a city that combines tradition and modernity. The lively old town, also known as the “longest bar in the world”, the elegant Königsallee and the modern buildings on the banks of the Rhine set the perfect mood for the cruise.
From here, we travel down the Rhine to Antwerp, one of the most fascinating port cities in Europe. The Belgian metropolis is famous for its role in the diamond trade, its fashion and art scene and the magnificent Grote Markt. The Cathedral of Our Lady with masterpieces by Rubens, the picturesque alleyways and the international harbor flair make Antwerp an unforgettable experience.
The next stop is Brussels, the capital of Belgium and the heart of Europe. In addition to the magnificent buildings of the EU institutions, the city enchants with the Grand-Place, one of the most beautiful squares in the world. Famous landmarks such as the Atomium or the Manneken Pis as well as culinary delights – from pralines to beer – make Brussels a highlight of the trip.
Back in the Netherlands, the ship reaches Nijmegen, the oldest city in the country. Situated on the banks of the Waal, it boasts historic churches, Roman remains and a lively city center with cosy cafés. The combination of history and student dynamism gives the city a special charm.
Finally, the ship returns to Düsseldorf. The journey ends here, but the memory of international culture, history and joie de vivre along the Rhine and Meuse remains.
